During 2019 IPL, on 29th March there was the match between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. I said that Sunrisers Hyderabad will win, but my Grandma said that Rajasthan Royals will win. At the moment my grandma said, the lizard made a sound. So, she said that surely Rajastan will win. But, that match was won by Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets. So, don't believe in all these. These are all superstitions, which were believed in villages. Coincidentally, if a lizard had made a sound and the thing had come true, the villagers thought that if you think or say something and a lizard makes a sound, it's true and created this superstition. Don't believe in all these superstitions. Just believe in God and enjoy your life🙏🏻😊

Say, I tell you that Earth is flat to a person and the person sneezes. Will it make my statement as false or the whether the earth is flat.

These small beliefs are made to ensure to avoid awkward situations or to bypass negativity associated with somethings that are considered unsocial and still happen involuntarily.

2. If you get hiccups while you eat, then people would say that someone close to you is now thinking of you. This is to ensure that the person who gets hiccups doesn’t feel awkward. And also to divert the attention of the person suffering from hiccups, which may also stop the hiccup.
3. If you meet some person, and the person is talking about you, he would say, “May you live for 100 years! We were just discussing about you.” This is said, to ensure that the person who talks about you conveys that he is not speaking ill about you. While you enter you may or may not heard. But in case you heard your name being discussed, but not sure, whether it is something good or bad, you might think it is something bad. To remove that negativity and ensure positive flow of conversation, this might be said.

There are various other such beliefs in day to day life we have in ourselves. Instead of taking these seriously or going against it, let us just embrace with positive.

One day I was thinking that I am standing and my crush taking bath and smiling and absolutely not feeling shy? And I was standing in bathroom.

Then a lizard cracked a sound and my bornvita milk glass was sitting on table and I eated it and lizard was inside it.

A2A.I am from India too and its only via your question ,I got to know that some fellow Indians believe a correlation between lizards and death exists. I am pretty sure none of my acquaintances , friends,schoolmates know this myth either. House lizards were pretty common site at my school and people were chatty,however no such mentions were made.So be assured its just a myth and nothings going to happen to you . Though its quite interesting to think how such superstitiond would have originated. I do know one superstition about lizards though (again all credit goes to schoolmates ),its that if a lizard falls on you, you have to throw salt, I am not exactly sure where though and why.

Well, I cannot speak to yards, but do have experience with lizards in rooms. On one of my U.S. Army tours in Vietnam (1970), I lived in a complex of two 8-story buildings in the Cholon area of Saigon. The building facing the street were offices (U.S. Army Military Police Criminal Investigation operations) and the building in the rear were individual rooms (each about the size of a hotel room with a small kitchenette and bath). Rooms were not assigned by rank, but by longevity and the number of lizards in each room. It seemed that the lizards were rather territorial, and if you lizard-napped a lizard from one room and put it in another, it would return to its original room at the first opportunity. The most in-demand rooms had the most lizards, with the “seven lizard room” being at the top, and the no-lizard-room being the pits. So, when one resident left, the next senior guy in terms of longevity got to move into a higher-lizard room. The reason? The little green lizards would make very short work of almost all annoying flying insects! Although they could not fly, they would scale the walls, walk upside down across the ceiling and were very good at leaping and diving.

As I write this, I’m looking around for lizards. There usually are some, but it got down to the thirties (Fahrenheit) last night and they must all still be huddled or dug in somewhere for warmth, or something. I’m out on the patio. There are usually at least four-to-six lizards out here if I look to count. From dark to lightish brown.

I live in Florida. They usually stay outside, mine, but sometimes they’ll make it into the house. They don’t really dig it so much in there. Out here’s where they make a living.

I love the lizards. They’re our buddies. Mine like to bask! They prop themselves up on their forelimbs and do these little pushup deals, bopping their heads up and down. Lizards eat insects. At times you will see them chasing a houseflies or mosquitoes. In short they kill parasitic insects. The chase may end up into your house and the lizard may get stranded.

They are not harmful. If u see them they are helping you get rid of harmful insects.

There is an appeal, a strong appeal that we shouldnt be killing, rather safely remove them out of the house, they are an important equation in the balance of nature.

Not much of a significance. In shakuna shastra, it is some what relevant. A shakuna is more like a symptom of the problem. A shakuna is one of the subtle way to understand some cause and effect in the grand scheme of cosmos, however distantly related to us. It is not much of a consequence, if you have the will to avoid it. Meaning that whatever inauspiciousness comes out of it can be avoided by praying to god or lighting a deepam before god and taking a head bath. There are remedies it. So, in effect it need not always bother you.

Fun fact is that in South India, in kanchi, there is a mandapam in temple with golden and silver lizards. So, the idea is if you touch the golden lizArd there, you will be exempted from all future effects of lizard falls:)

There's more. If you happen to touch a person who has visited the mandapam, the ill effects won't hurt you even then.

The point here is there's not much need to break your heads over it. In case of doubt, do light a lamp (deepam) before god after taking a head bath.
